Program Descriptions

Jump Stop Academy provides a variety of programs for boys and girls ages 4-18.   We have programs for those who simply like basketball and enjoy playing with their friends and other programs for those who are looking to play more competitively.  Whatever it is you want to get out of basketball, JumpStop Academy has it.


All-Star Madness

All-Star Madness is for players who want to work on their skills but play a lot of fun games as well.
It’s 5-8 one hour sessions.  Players will work on a specific skill each session and then have an All-Star competition that works on that specific skill.

Ideal Baller: Players who like basketball but may not want to play at a more competitive level.

Sample Daily Outline

  • 5 min – Warm-Up
  • 25 minutes – Skill of the Day
  • 2 minutes – Water
  • 27 minutes – All-Star Challenge
  • 1 minute – Wrap-Up
    *These will vary based on the Skill of the Day.  They include, but are not limited to, Knockout, Hot Shot Shooting, Dribble Tag, Layup Competitions, 1 on 1 Contests, and more.


Levels

  • Rookie – K-2nd Grade
  • Veteran – 3rd-4th Grade
  • All-Star – 5th-6th Grade
  • All-League – 7th-8th Grade
  • Hall of Fame – High School Age


Super Fundamentals

Super Fundamentals is for players looking to build their skill base and take their game to the next level.  It’s 6-8 one hour sessions. For the final 10-15 minutes of each class there will be a skills test and players will try and improve upon their results each week as the class progresses.

Ideal Baller: For the player who is looking to build up their fundamentals and learn to play more competitive basketball.


Sample Daily Outline

  • 5 min – Warm-Up
  • 20 minutes – Skill of the Day
  • 2 minutes – Water
  • 20 minutes – Skill of the Day
  • 12 minutes – Skills Challenge
  • 1 minute – Wrap-Up

  • Rookie – K-2nd Grade
  • Veteran – 3rd-4th Grade
  • All-Star – 5th-6th Grade
  • All-League – 7th-8th Grade
  • Hall of Fame – High School Age

3v3 League

Our 3v3 League develops skills in a 3v3 setting so players get the most out of it.  3v3 develops crucial fundamentals which will allow players to thrive once they get to 5v5.

Ideal Baller: For the player who is looking to build up their team concepts and learn to play more live game action.

  • 2 minutes – Water
  • 25 minutes – 3 v 3 Games
  • 3 minute – Wrap-Up

Camps

Camps are a mix of skill work, contests, and games.  They can be half day or full day camps.

Ideal Baller: For players of all ages and skill level.

  • Ages 6-17

Little Hoopers

Little Hoopers is a program for children ages 3-6 years old.
We bring in mini basketballs and a mini hoop and have a lot of fun.
The idea is to introduce the game of basketball through fun games such as Mr. Fox, Sharks & Minnows, and Red Light-Green Light.
Children also get to work on their motor skills and listening skills.
Parents are invited to attend.

Ideal Baller: Pre-schoolers looking to be introduced to the game of basketball.

  • 10 min – Warm-Up/Aerobic Skills
  • 20 minutes – Skill of the day
  • 3 minutes – Water
  • 15  minutes – Fun Games
  • 2 minutes – Wrap-Up
